Kitchen island
An island to cook, eat or store: sized to leave room to walk around it, with sockets and lighting planned.
An island changes how a kitchen is used, as long as there is room around it. We keep about a metre of clear passage on each working side and plan the electrics before the floor is finished.
What is included
- Sizing on the plan, with passages drawn
- Base units on the cooking or storage side
- Overhang for stools, worktop of your choice
- Sockets and, if needed, a hob or sink connected
Good to know
A hob on an island needs a ceiling or downdraft extractor, and a sink needs a waste run under the floor: both are checked at the measuring visit.
